Welcome to the registration guide for the Master of Business Administration in Health.

The first step in the registration process for the EAN University is to read the Student Regulations.
Note: The EAN University informs that the Student Regulation approved by Agreement No. 016 of July 21, 2016, applies to all students who enter for the first time one of the programs taught by the EAN University.
Complete the Registration Form completely, by clicking on the “Online Registration” button. At the end of completing the form, you can access the “Registration Receipt” to cancel online or download it and pay at the AV Villas Bank (laser printing). Likewise, the registration receipt will be sent to your email.
Cancel registration fees: Master’s Degree $ 307,000 (Rate approved by Rector’s Resolution No. 191 of December 7, 2017). The EAN University will not refund the amount paid for registration fees.

In TYPE OF INCOME that corresponds:

The certificates of the studies completed and approved with the specifications on hourly intensity, credits and obtained qualification; detailing the rating scale applied by the educational institution of origin, and the minimum grade of approval.
The programmatic contents of the studies carried out, issued by the Institution of origin, that are intended to be approved by study units at the EAN University (except in those cases in which homologation is contemplated within the framework of an inter-institutional agreement).
Certificate of the institution where you studied, indicating that you were not sanctioned for the commission of a serious offense.

For entry by external transfer, the required documents must have an expedition not exceeding one hundred and eighty (180) calendar days to be delivered within the registration dates stipulated by the EAN University, except the programmatic content document issued by the institution of origin (Student Regulation Article 20 – Paragraph).
Approval: To carry out the homologation study, the student must previously cancel the pecuniary rights for its concept (Student Regulation – Article 38).
Study of the homologation request: Homologation requests will be studied in the respective faculty. It corresponds to the Dean, or whoever acts as such, to authorize the homologation of the corresponding study units and to communicate to the Academic Registry about its result (Student Regulation – Article 39).
Results of the Homologation study: The result of any homologation study will be definitive and will be recorded in the minutes that will be incorporated into the documents presented by the applicant or in the student’s resume as appropriate. In any case, the homologation request must be formulated BEFORE the student registration process (Student Regulations –
Article 40).

C) Income by internal transfer (Student Regulation – Article 21), It is the
entry of a student by virtue of the change from one academic program to another, within the programs offered by the EAN University.

To enter by internal transfer, in addition to the requirements established in the admission process, a request for internal transfer and homologation is required.
In order for the interested party to request the internal transfer, it is a prerequisite that the final grades of the study units of the last academic period have been reported, that they are up to date in all cases with the EAN University and that they accept the academic conditions, administrative and financial matters.

D) Admission for simultaneous programs (Student Regulation – Article 22): It is the income that occurs when a student simultaneously attends academic programs at the EAN University and for this, in addition to the requirements established in the registration and admission, the following are required. :

Have enrolled and completed all the study units of the first semester or level, of the initial program or of origin.
That the curriculum of the initial academic program or of origin be registered and completed in its entirety.

E) Admission of graduates to another program (Student Regulation – Article 23): It is the income that occurs when a graduate enters another program at the EAN University, applying to an admission process derived from a first program completed at the institution. To enter another program, in addition to the requirements established in the registration, it is required a) to formulate a request for homologation of study units before the Academic Registration office b) to be a graduate of a program completed at EAN University.

The EAN University through Rectoral Resolution No. 191 of December 7, 2017, “By which the pecuniary rights that, for academic reasons, the EAN University will be charged for new students enrolled in 2018, are established for the academic programs of postgraduate degree that the University will develop through agreements with other institutions in the country ”

The rates established here are increased annually (change of validity each year), in accordance with the criteria approved by the Superior Council of the EAN University and the Ministry of National Education. For a student who enrolls in the second semester of the year, the rate for the renewal of their enrollment will increase.

The support of the payment must be delivered to the Coordinator of the agreement for the respective legalization of the registration, indicating the student’s full name, ID number and academic program.

b) Enrollment Funding: For the payment of tuition, the EAN University offers the option of financing through post-dated checks and promissory notes with BANCO PICHINCHA for any of the options.
Additionally, you can obtain financing with ICETEX and other financial institutions included in the options portfolio.

INFORMATION OF INTEREST:

With the formalization of the registration, the student abides by the Educational Model, accepts and undertakes to comply with the Student Regulations and the other provisions that govern the functioning of the EAN University (Student Regulations Article 27 – First Paragraph).
The specializations that make up the portfolio of academic programs taught by the EAN University require a level of English that allows students to read and understand reference texts in this language.
The value corresponding to registration fees will not be refunded, nor may it be paid to other payments that the applicant of the EAN University must make. (Student Regulation Article 15).
Applicants who have been admitted to a formal program of the EAN University and who can not begin their studies, will be postponed for up to two (2) academic periods and only once (Student Regulations – Article 17). The reactivation of the quota will be carried out by means of a request sent by the admitted one through the admissions sub-portal – Online Services and selecting the option “Reactivation of quota”.
After the mentioned period, the applicant will lose the quota within the institution and will not open the reimbursement of the pecuniary rights paid for any concept.

Additionally, after this time the EAN University is not responsible for the documentation provided in the period to which it was admitted (those admitted not enrolled may withdraw the documentation delivered during the admission process, in the month following the start date of activities academic).

Environment of the health organization (3 credits)
This unit seeks to analyze and reflect critically on the economic, political and social context of Health Systems and the interactions they generate with health service providers, so that management and interaction strategies are developed. to improve attention in the provision of services and contribute to the guarantee of the right to health.

Ethics and social responsibility (3 credits)
The role of management in health services and the comprehensive guarantee of the right to health of citizens and their communities, requires a reflection of professional practice from ethical thinking. In the unit, a position will be established around the role of the health service provider organization and its responsibilities to the state and society as a whole.

Health risk management (3 credits)
Health risk management appears as an efficient way to identify opportunities and help improve the functioning of organizations providing health recovery services, health insurers or public health institutions, whether public or private. The objective of risk management in health is to ensure that the process and its controls guarantee that risks are minimized and that the objectives of the organization are to be achieved.

Management of the provision of health services (3 credits)
The manager or process leader in the health sector organizations must propose management models for the provision of health services, which are defined as the necessary mechanisms to guarantee access, optimize the use of resources and improve the quality of services that lend themselves to the population. Financial management (3 credits)
The disciplinary knowledge of financial accounting and costs in the health sector are used to determine, measure and quantify the wealth factors of the organizations of the sector, in order to serve for decision making and control. These techniques systematically and structurally produce financial information about the transactions made by entities and certain economic events that are identifiable and quantifiable, which affect the operation of health services. Knowing this information allows the manager or process leader to make timely and coherent decisions with the financial reality of the organization.

Management of insurance and social protection (4 credits)
The integrated and coordinated management of insurance and social protection, includes the management of financial risk, health risk, representation of the affiliate before the provider, articulation of services and quality assurance in the provision of the same, and of the companies insurers or those in charge of the management of social protection. The students of the Master’s program will discuss and design strategies for the organization of insurance, affiliation management, management of contracting of providers, management of service authorization and medical audit from insurance, within the framework of the social insurance model implemented by the General System of Social Security in Health.

Management of human talent in health (2 credits)
Human resources are a fundamental part of health systems. Through the action of Human Talent in Health, access to health services and their quality is guaranteed. The relationship between the availability and quality of the management of health workers and the health outcomes of health systems are directly related. For this reason, the Master’s student should lead the mechanisms and environments that motivate workers in health sector organizations to motivate and productivity, all based on the precepts of respect for labor and health rights, generating decent work and decent.
